"The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page."
We came to terms with this famous quote only when we visited God's own painting - the region of Ladakh.
Ladakh was always a topic that would crop up in every conversation with Amish. From the pictures I had ever seen from my friends' visits , Ladakh appeared magical. After loads of planning, me and husband Santosh finally made up our minds to visit this treasure and sought Amish's expertise & close association with the place ,in having our trip planned.
Upon arrival in Leh , right from being picked up from the airport , to being introduced to the culinary wonders - Bon Appetit , Wonderland Cafe , Gesmo to name a few , our time in Leh was overwhelming.
Then came the elements of surprise - Hunder & Turtuk.
) The two days we spent there with Rehmatullahji and his family & the hospitality we were endowed with in Turtuk , will be treasured forever . The walking tour to the villages, almost end-of-the-world feeling took us back in time and makes it a place one should never miss!
Nono - the driver who took us around the seemingly endless roads to Nubra as well as Pangong Tso was amazing company as well. Everything was so well taken care of , there was nothing we could crib about it. The trip offered us a lot more than what we had could ever expect it to.
Thanks Amish - you are a gypsy in the real sense and keep the passion for travel perpetuating
